Does anyone have any personal experience with Scientific Anglers "Sharkskin" fly-line? If not, what line do you enjoy casting?
I have always stuck to Orvis Wonderline, but my spool is in need of a new line and I am looking for options for my 9' 6wt Sage SLT 690. I am into fishing some of the smaller rivers, but really enjoy the Green, San Juan, etc.
I have heard good things about some of the Scientific Anglers lines from my fishing buddies, but want to hear some other opinions before I buy.
The Sharkskin lines have been hot/cold on the Internet reviews. There are rumors of advanced guide wear, sinking tips on floating lines, and a weird sound while casting. Then there are some that just love it and think it is the best thing since sliced bread. I am all for an expensive line if it is a "miracle" line, but not for over-rated hype.
