Agreed on the Chronarchs. I have a pair of Chronarch MG's and I absolutely love them. I also am really fond of the Quantum Tour Edition PT baitcasters. I started out on the cheap baitcasters a number of years ago when I decided to learn how to use one, and had some pretty bad experiences. Once I switched to the higher end stuff though, things greatly changed for the better. Of course, my thumb is a lot more educated now, but there really is a huge difference. I also have a couple of Shimano Cardiff's (round baitcaster) in the 300 series that I use for jigging heavy baits at Powell or Mead. They also work great for trolling. I still have a number of spinning rigs, but I only use them when I'm fishing bait for trout or catfish. I really never use them for casting.
