We are actually quit the opposite than most. Like I explained to bassrods, we arent your normal club. And we sure arent your normal tournaments. We've been as open as possible right now and will continue to be that way. Regardless of all the natural distrust going around we have found one of the greatest group of guys and we intend to keep it that way.
I appreciate people such as yourself, pointerpride, and bassrods trying to find holes in our club/tourney runnings, for those people who may have had the same questions and not brought them up. Again all of this is in the Rules and Regulations packet we give every angler to sign. So we are pretty see though there too.
First off the numbers:
40 people x $50 entry per person for tournament cash specifically* = $2000
Non-members do pay an extra $25 dollars, but this goes into our fishing habitat fund (kind of keeps that money growing on top of the normal donations) great way to get people to donate. We call this the Temporary Membership Fee. Every non member must pay this.
So running the numbers with the $2000 here is the break down exactly:
75% of $2000 = $1500 the other $500 goes towards the year long tournament for points standings of which every person who fishes our tournaments is entered in.
First Place = 32.5% = $487.50
Second Place = 25% = $375
Third Place = 17.5% = $262.50
Longest Walleye = 15% = $225
Longest Bass = 10% = 150
487.50+375+262.50+225+150=$1500
*Tournament cash cannot exceed $2000 handed out that day unless we get a permit and pay the state. We keep it this way cause the state makes enough of our hard earned money. Simply put we want to give back maximum amount possible.
