The best I've ever done was in Norton Bay. I landed 15 walleye one day last summer. It was before the drawdown and in 15 feet of water. I have caught quite a few in Big Sandy and about every where you go in the lake. The big ones have not bitten. 18.5 is the biggest I have landed. I did see a dead one that would have been a good 7-8 lbs. I had a student in class this last semester that works for the F&G and was working on a gill net study in Salmon Falls. They captured two that were 35 in. So there is a new state record in the waters of Big Sandy.
We were out today (Wed) and did not do to well. Two walleye, two bass, one trout.
One bass and one walleye came from a Perch rapala trailed behind the boat.
Good luck
