[cool][#0000ff]That is the main source I use for checking weather on all my favorite fish ponds. I have quick links set up by name and then go to the "hour by hour" function the day before going, to see what conditions will be when I get there.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Know what? They are wrong over 75 percent of the time. In fact whenever I schedule a trip based upon the weather forecast and wind speed and directions, I can almost universally count on it being EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what the forecast is.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Typical? If I go to Lincoln Beach, I look for light south winds. North winds almost always make it tough to fish from a tube at Lincoln and they seem to shut down the bite when they come up. I have lost count of the trips I made to Lincoln Beach with a light S or SW breeze forecast, only to find 10 mph north winds blowing in.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Ditto for Willard. The forecast is NEVER right.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have come to the conclusion that it is best to form your own forecast, based upon a combination of other sources...newspaper, TV and internet. Then, if you want to go fishing...GO. The weather will be whatever it will be. (Kay Sarah Sarah...or whatever).[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I also think some lakes produce their own weather. It is like there is a big wind generating machine in the middle of the lake and wherever you go, the machine dials you in and makes the wind blow in exactly the direction you least want it to blow. Also, the wind always seems to start up just as you finally find some fish and start getting some action.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Diabolical, I tell ya.[/#0000ff]
