Here's a question for the "Mack Crew":
How many Kokanne and Trout do you think a Laker will eat in his 60+ years in the Gorge??? Lets say he eats one kokanee a day for 60 years. Hmmmm that's about 22,000 Kokanne on average for a mack to eat in it's life.
Not sure about you guys, but I would rather catch 365 big fat yummy kokes a year, than one big ugly trout.
Now I wonder why the DWR has to put soooo many kokes in the Gorge each year, maybe it's because the macks destroy them as it is. If we do not practice harvest on the macks, they will destroy the kokes all together. If we don't practice C&R on the macks, they will disappear.
There is balance in everything and the DWR knows exactly what they are doing, so quit crying about it.
