A couple years back I went fishing for bream at a friend 1.5 acre pond. The people fishing were myself, my friend's dad, my friend, and his 7 year old sister. We were using hot dog pieces as bait. The fishing started at 10:00 am and after 2 hours we had caught about 5-7 bream each in various sizes, nothing amazing. At around 12:15
my friends sister hooks into something unusual. My friend and his dad both thought that she was snagged and offered to help her out. I told them no and pointed out that whatever was on her line was moving. After about 5 minutes of fighting she pulls a 3 lb largemouth bass onto the bank. Needless to say the rest of the group was stunned at her catch. She had incidentally hooked and landed her first largemouth bass on a piece of hot dog and a size 6 light wire hook. IMO not a bad way to catch your first bass.
P.S. This story is true.
