There are 3 lakes on the "Highline" trail that are easy to get to and offer decent fishing. Wilder, Wyman, and Packard. If my memory is correct, (and I wonder every day about it[
]) the trail starts just past mirror lake. It's about 1.5 miles to the turn off. Wilder can be seen from the main trail. Wyman, and Packard are 10-15 minutes apart. It is a fairly easy trail getting in and out.
I strongly suggest you get a detailed map of the area before you go. It is a scenic area and the pine trees are very thick around all three lakes. If you have kids that want to go to the other lakes have an adult go with them. If they get off the trail it will be very easy to get dis-oriented. The trail from wilder to wyman is easy to find. From wyman to packard it's a lot harder to find. Thats where the map comes in handy. Hope this helps. There are plenty of other lakes close to the highway also. Get a map and have some fun.[cool]
