Fish early and late with zara spooks for some good topwater action. Pop R's can be good to. A fluke worked fast on top can also catch some nice fish. Largemouth tend to hang around the narrow coves. Smallmouth around any chunk rock or points that drop into deeper water. Basic bass tackle works fine. Plastics, cranks, and spinnerbaits. The stripers should be boiling. Topwater and spoons are great to throw into a boil.
I went out about a 3 weeks ago and the fishing was tough. We fished the bullfrog area. The water was rising fast and the fish were hard to find. I hope your trip works out better than mine.
