ODC 420 FLOAT TUBE AND ROD HOLDER /updated
#36
Any tips?
Well, I studied forum pics and made a list of PVC parts, then went to Lowe's (or was it Home Depot?) and got a guy to help make sure all the parts were correct. Knowing what I had in mind, he recommended a two-step glue that used a primer. If you mean the swept-back model, I'd flair the tubes a little so that lures on the dipping rods aren't likely to snag other poles.

I've only used the rod holder like eight times so far, but it's holding up well, except for the paint, which scratches easily. I am refining how the holder is connected to the craft to replace metal hose clamps (all I had available at the time). I also need to improve how the transducer is attached so that it's better protected and easier to disconnect to remove the holder from the craft.
