Went to the creek with a currant last weekend. We didnt get much time to fish because a member of our party had car trouble and we spent a good portion of the weekend trying to get his vehicle running[mad]. Caught about 17 fish in the river. All browns, nothing huge. Biggest was about 15 in. best part was a feisty 12 in. brown that leaped 2 and a half feet off the water.
Went up to the Res. with the squaws (they had it in their heads that they were going to swim) hehe. They got about up to their knees and were back on shore in minutes.
Threw out some PowerBait for the kids, while the MEN tried their luck with spinners and or flies.
Results: Kids 10 fish, MEN 2 fish.........
A guy down the way had caught a beautiful Colorado River Cut, that ly was hanging from his stringer[mad].
That was the first I had seen one of these fine fish, and it was hard to see it in that state.
Isn't there a law against keeping these? I havent checked the proclamation, but I thought they were endangered.....
I tried to get the guy to pose for a pic, but he wouldnt.
Anyway, good times.
