It doesn't take you step by step on how to tie an Adams, but it has every possible thing to do with fly tying in it.
Wing Burners, Weaving, beads...etc. Every question you could have is in this book.
I have been tying for over a 1/4 of a century and I still use this book.
The Orvis "BOOKS" are both great. One for learning all aspects to fly fishing and the other fly tying. It shows you material and why you must use certain material for certain flies. A feather is not just a feather.
Then it teaches you HOW to tie a bunch of different flies. Finally in the back is a bunch more flies and the ingredients. You should by now already know how to put them together from the front of the book.
Several flies are the same tie....just different material.
Adams, Mosquito...etc. all the same kind of tie.
