Very nice fish!! That is truly a once in a lifetime catch.
As far a keeping it -- I would have. It is just too amazing.
That cat is probably pretty old and it would not be long before it was river fertilizer. Plus she is almost certainly a major predator on the river, and she probably eats more fish in a year than she procreates!!
