I been using flies on a spin outfit. Streamer patterns black with red and Olive have been good for me. I bought a spey outfit this summer and a friend gave me an 8wt. so I'll hopefully hang up the spin outfit if I can figure out the speyrod. Watching the video on spey casting looks easier than it is Hopefully I'll figure it out
