First of all, I would like to know where you were fishing? How many you caught? What methods were you using? PM me if need be.
K, your are right, usually very few A-run steelies come up the Clearwater - that's why I drive 9+ hours to get there! [] And that's on good roads. . . . which is rare. So I just did a quick check. In 2006, of all the PIT tagged steelhead that crossed Bonneville headed for the Clearwater, 25% of them were A-run; in 2007 it was 28.6%; in 2008 it was 9.4%; but this year 49.6% of the Clearwater PIT tags are A-run.
