That thread got reopened upon your request!!! Why diddnt you work harder to get the location of where the fish was caught? Thats why I kept reading the thread. I was hoping you had some kind of interrogation technique that would help us all out. LOL....[sly]
I think this is all pretty funny for the most part except for when the moderators get hit with comments that they dont deserve. I think WH2 was dead on in stating that it is a thankless job. He is right but I cant even believe that he or any moderators have to keep reminding people that. Give them more credit, if it wasnt for them I would not have a website to waste all my time reading new reports and looking up old ones that go way back just to fulfill my drive to learn everything I can about fishing in Utah or any other state.
I have no problem telling people where big fish are caught when they are caught in a high pressure lake like any lake with a state park. Or river. Even if it is a state record. People already know that those big fish are there.
About the tigers.... This is just my 5 cents........ I know of a couple places that people caught fish(tigers) that would have easily crushed the state record. The guys that catch the fish have done lots of homework. They (and me for the most part) would hate it if someone caught the record and turned all the information on location ect in so that every body in the state knew where those big tigers grow. It would ruin the fishery. So all I am sayin is who cares how big that tiger is? Their are bigger ones still swimming around that have already been caught and kept secret because it is not worth the recognition to destroy the potential that their might be in the future. Along with many other fish species. I also think that the guy who started that thread that got locked reopened then locked again got exactly what he wanted. A nice big spotlight. I am glad he had the decency to not reveal the location even though I really wanted to find out which place he was fishing. The only think he did wrong was how he delivered the news to all of us here on BFT. Claiming that he had a stated record fish that he diddnt even get accurate measurements on. That to me is asking for a long heated thread that might get locked reopened and then of coarse locked again. He just had to do it.[
