If you were doing so well with flies, what made you switch?
[cool][#0000ff]As I said, I still USE flies...I just fish them differently. I was born into a family of flyrod wavers and still enjoy the sport, but it has been an evolutionary thing. I didn't just wake up one morning and say "I ain't gonna fish with a flyrod no more".[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I have been blessed with the opportunities to travel the western hemisphere and to fish a whole lotta fishing holes...fresh water and salt. I have been able to pursue just about every species available in our part of the world and there aren't many left to add to my fishing resume. I am properly grateful.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]My point is that I became a passionate angler early in life and I have never restricted myself to fishing only one way...nor have I excluded anything. I have tried everything at least once and some things I have made a permanent part of my arsenal. Fly fishing is still in there somewhere but just doesn't get used much any more.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I respect your preferences for the fly rod and flies. So be it. I also respect your skills at both fly tying and fly fishing. I would never suggest that you are wrong in your outlook. As we have agreed on several issues, it is a matter of personal opinion and that is what makes us who we are.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Loved your condescention that a good ol' worm is sometimes better. But, we ain't gonna change your handle to Wormgoddess.[/#0000ff]
