I count fish sometimes because I can remember when I thought fishing was boring because I went with people who didn't put forth the effort to know what they were doing and it came down to blind luck. It's silly pride, but I am immensely satisfied to have taken the time to learn how to be a great angler and I count every fish landed as a win. Now that I have caught hundreds in single days I don't count too much but I concentrate on the feel of the hit and the tug on the line. This forum is for sharing that knowledge and any angler that is willing to learn needs the encouragement because no one pays for the tackle and the trip to get skunked. Most anglers remember the experience through numbers and if anyone can learn what it takes to catch a bunch then more power to them. I have had days with 3 jigs and 3 fish every cast at times (not in UT however, as 3 hooks on one line is illegal here) I believe that some people, especially newcomers to the sport, are inspired to know that it is possible. I say count away and give us a report that is worthy of our time and investment so that we too can go with confidence. If you don't think this is possible then you are limiting your own success by scrutinizing the success of others rather than being humble enough to ask how it's done.
