MMDon, That is what I heard. A guy at Sportsmans said it was spined wrong. Since I posted this I have talked to several guys that have spinning rods and casting reels. They said they like the shorter butt for fighting Sturgeon. The longer butt is awkward. I have only caught a couple of sturgeon but I do remember that the casting rod I used was long and it was,,, awkward. This will be my heavy cat rod and maybe a Steelhead or salmon rod.
I am going to give it a try I guess if it breaks I could test the warranty. Ron
