Back when my boat was on the water , I use to go for the kokes . I used leaded line and ford fender pop gear ( brass and chrome ) and next a rubber snubber . Then about 2 to 3 ft of leader and a wedding ring spinner in the red or chartreuse . Wedding ring spinners come with the leader but need the rubber snubber because they (kokes) have soft mouths . If you fish with a worm added to it you will catch cutts too . I always did good around Haws point to the northwest in 65' of water . Try anywhere with 3 to 6 colors of line out . Finding the bigger fish can be anywhere . but I have done good right in front of the Strawberry marina and Mackinaw bay . Most boats pass this area up . I trolled mostly with the wind and with a electric trolling motor to keep on course .I also did good with dodgers and triple teasers . Most kokes when hooked come up to the surface in a hurry and do a tail dance . Good fighters just need to get them on lighter tackle would be even more fun . Good luck
