Yes your heart was in the right place.

I needed to get your mind to that place in this particular instance.

I feel very confident that Lorie was sincere in her comment as she has been sincere in this whole matter. I truely feel that several of our represenatives are thrilled that this matter has gotten many sportspeople interested in what our government is doing. I would also bet that more are not thrilled about it at all. They are the ones not to be trusted.
I also have a dislike for politics and politicians, but my experiances this session have opened my eyes to the fact that there are some good ones who do care and will work to do the right thing if asked to.
Please take the time to ask them, I think that they will be thrilled that you did.
