Green River Survey
#11
Idryfly is correct, it was Utah State University. They were doing an overwinter study to determine/monitor changes in the abundance of aquatic insects in response to changing flows. Their standard protocol was to sample at different depths and times as flows were ramping up, down, and stable. They had two sites on the Green below Flaming Gorge Dam- Spillway and Tailrace. They also perform quarterly monitoring of the Green from the Dam all the way down to the Colorado stateline. The survey Idryfly promotes is not directly related to this research, but part of the overall concern regarding fluctuating flows and the potential impacts to the Green River fishery.
