idaho aquatic nuisance sticker rule clarified
#1
A new program in Oregon to protect waterways from the damaging impacts of aquatic invasive species as of January 1 requires boaters buy an AIS Prevention Permit to use their boats.

Boats registered in similar programs in Idaho or Washington, however, do not need an Oregon-issued Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Permit to operate or launch from the Oregon side into the Columbia or Snake Rivers.

When the law takes effect, Oregon will have reciprocity with Idaho and Washington registered boaters. For more information visit the Oregon Marine Board Website at www.boatoregon.com.
