Got the itch to try the Riverpark this afternoon. It was the hottest afternoon I believe this year. Started out about 6:30pm and hit a few drops along rip-rap in 15 to 20 FOW. Little current and water was 85, it also was the hottest I have seen it down there. We used jigs only and found a area that showed some good fish and drifted over it and John about had his rod removed from his hand. A nice big dark one about 4.5 lbs. After I enjoyed the air show and reel scream we finally got it to the boat. I believe it was my turn and we moved back up and went over again and I got slammed, the hardest hits we have seen by these fish. Mine wasn't as big about 3lbs. We tried again but we messed up that area with all the movement so we moved on down a few hundred yards and managed a couple more with no size to them. Finished up at dark with 5 smalliesThis is the first time we have not caught a single spot on a trip down there.
