Hey, don't get me wrong. If you guys were doing it all legal then GOOD ON YA!! Way to go! It's like a good day deer, elk, or maybe pheasant hunting. The ONLY thing I saw was no flag and you or your buddy popped up in front of me. That was my only point. That and the NO ARCHERY SEASON !! Why not have it DURING the spearfishing season???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![[Image: confused.gif]](http://www.bigfishtackle.com/images/gforum/confused.gif)
Like I said I have free dived before (ALOT) and I do know what it takes to stay down for a long time. My time was 4.5 min, working on 5. It is amazing how many fish are visible, underwater in clear water, in 3-4 min! Now that I'm 51, and I'm a smoker I can still stay down for up to 2+min and I think I'm going to read up on and gear up on free diving. I already have the mask, snorkel, and fins. That is do-able.
My big beef about freediving is the no bubble thing. It's almost like elk hunting with a big gun and shooting 500 yds across a canyon...the elk didn't even know you were there. By the way I prefer archery hunting. Now I KNOW I stirred a pot with that comment.
Thank you for posting about that, because you have gave me insight on a new angle of fishing I had forgotten about. All I need is some form of spear slinger and I'm SET! Been looking for a new angle on fishing and now I have one.
GottaBite my foot...I'm gunna be WallySpearSlinger or WallySnorkl or SpearChuck or something....
Good Job Guys!! And Thanks again!
