bear lake help?
#2
I checked anglers on Sunday and they were catching some decent cutthroat in a few spots jigging. Off the South Eden-Cisco Beach area and off the east side of the rockpile. Both in about 80-85' of water. Using 4" tube jigs tipped with sucker or cisco.

You really cannot catch cisco at this time of year. Worms work when tipping tube jigs, but I have never seen anyone do very well with powerbait for cutthroat or lake trout.

FYI, the UDWR stocked 5,000 sterile rainbow trout off the Utah State Park marina just before the 4th of July weekend. People are catching them using small spinners, worms, powerbait. The best place to fish is off the marina and along the shore to the south in shallow water. In early mornings and evenings the rainbows move in close to shore and feed on insects from all the vegetation that is flooded along the shoreline.
Good Luck
