It used to be that to break a bill off of a Rapala in a river I had to beat it against the rocks all afternoon with my usual twitching retrieve. I have noticed that they are coming apart much more easily but the one thing that really annoys me is how many I have recently noticed that are not balanced out of the box and can't be corrected. I love paying 6 bucks for a lure so I can watch it swirl in the current. It's too bad but I think that Rapala has turned over their production to low wage labor in a communist country and the results are obvious.
