I like that. I just stopped counting at 26 - seemed like a good year. Old enough to know better, young enough to still not care.
Looks like Mother Nature and the Fish-Gods sent you a great gift for the BigDay (with a little help from your clever tricks and tactics!)
Great story, telling photos as always. Thanks for sharing.
Um, I think your basket is a little fuller than the others. Me thinks I oughta turn the boy onto a hot perch spot. He needs some ACTION! Haven't seen much for perch in Mantua, Hyrum, or Newton. Your Bunny Gulch adventures make me think it might be worth the trip. Wally-O!
Got a couple cookie-cutter cats on a brine now, but I think they need company. Maybe Willard'll be good to us tonight.
Enjoyed your post on your " tricking out the tubes" party. Curious - do you have any posts archived on your plastics / jigs / lure making efforts? I appreciate your photos showing what they were caught on (even if you slip a bait-n-switch!). Would love to see more of your designs.
I went at a bunch of my dad's old rusty spoons and lures. Sharpened hooks, and "tricked" them out will glitter fingernail polish, and holographic stickers. Can't say they've caught me more fish, but it was fun to "enhance" them. My daughter thought so too. Dollar store supplies!
