The hatchery is up the mirror lake senic route, the only paved road in and out. I do not know the exact mileage from town, I want to 2 or 3, but do not quote me. There are not any signs that point you off and the drive is hidden a bit but it is large. The buildings are on the right hand side as you enter the uinta's. They are fairly new and they have dark green metal roofs on them and are visible from the road before the drive. Plan on a couple hours because of the tour and everything to look at, plus it is a nice break in the ride if you have smaller kids.
I will be in the same boat as you, rigging, untangling, pulling fish off lines... Some time I should have my wife get it all on the video cam and post for all to laugh at, do not get em wrong I would not trade it for the world.
I bought a Utah road map book that is very well laid out. I think I paid about 20 bucks for it at REI or somewhere like that. It stays in my Jeep and I always use it and it has been very accurate for me in all areas I have been in the state (moab, uintas, delta area, zions, wasatch front).
