[cool][#0000ff]Not likely. When a 12 volt battery is completely charged it will usually show something in excess of 13 volts on a volt meter. But that usually subsides naturally within a short time...leaving the actual voltage at somewhere around 12.5 to 12.8 volts. But that is just the voltage...not the amount of amps left in the battery. Nor does it indicate how efficiently the battery will power any specific electric item. As we have discussed, there are lots of variables...temperature, efficiency of the electric motor, etc.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have also seen batteries that continue to show voltage in excess of 12 volts right up until the time they run out of juice. I have even seen a "dead" battery registering over 12 volts even though it would not run a sonar...that would operate on less than 12 volts.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]My observations are that there are a lot of differences in batteries and the conditions under which we use them...and in the devices we power with our batteries. There are some standards and guidelines...and measuring devices available. But in the final analysis we need to simply use our stuff enough to get a feel for it and how it can be expected to perform in the situations we encounter. After that we have to be aware of the variables and avoid getting ourselves into trouble or sacrificing performance under excessive conditions.[/#0000ff]
