Harbor session
#10
When I was in Alaska I landed a few in the 40 to 50 pound range. I had one that the guide said was over 300 but lost it at the side of the boat. My son landed one in Alaska this year that was 120 on a halibut rod and one that was ovewr 75 on a Salmon rod. I tried to get thew Guide to find me a tube or toon to let me try some big water with. HE was a little more than worried so he would not do it.
To be honest I think that in a pontoon a 50 pound halibut would be a hand full but VERY doable. A float tube? I don't know that might be too much but with the drag set right I think anything is doable.
At some point either this fall or next spring I am going after sturgeon on my pontoon. Ron
