I'm a Bass Hugger and always will be. I sure hope that people don't use this as an excuse to kill bass. I've seen people killing bass who are quick to say that they are over populated and need to be thinned out. It just seemed strange to me that all the 11 and 12 bass on their ropes were so fat and healthy it looked like they were ready to split in half. Just because they can't catch the bigger ones also doesn't mean they aren't growing bigger and the waters can't handle any more fish. There are just more small fish (they haven't been killed yet) because they are not big enough to eat. The larger fish that are left are simply just harder to catch because there are less of them and are a bit smarter than the small ones. If you have the need to kill a fish go catch some hatchery trout that were raised for it. They'll put in more next month.
