I personally don't believe it's a need to kill- it's wisdom to take when the situation dictates that. Bass are fish- same as trout- I grew up in Northern Ohio and had no clue what a wild trout was unless it was at a private place. I fished many lakes- be they all man made as every lake in Ohio is- some needed fish taken to keep the equilibrium- some didn't. Limits also need to be changed- a few years of high water and the fish populatiion exploded. A few years of drought and everything changed.
