Searchin' for my first ever musky!

Just took a buddy up there today to chase muskies on some flies we tied this spring but he has not been able to get out til now. The little guys were eager to take his flies and I had one on mine but we didn't boat any big ones. I'd say for the next month is your best bet, then it slows down considerably, in my experience, but then again the duck season starts and I forget just about everything else anyway. I have done just as well on foot as I have on boat and now the lake is down enough to do both.
