Ditto on that - I think it was a nice venture - mix it up a bit. ('specially as the FISHn posts may drop off with deer season passing. )
Was down to Granma's in Layton today - and after seeing a nice 4pt inches away from their garden fence, and hearing there's a patch of 12 or so that migrate through - still don't know what that the HE-double toothpicks that stumbling feller was doing driving up to a vacant house next door, and 'looking around'. Bro-n-law is a wildlife cop, and had the specs on the license plate, so... WELL within city limits - c'mon people! May be last tag day, but seriously! Shouldn't have to wear hunter orange from the deck of a house within city limits!
Ok - so here is an in-the-water shot of a fish. It's been part of a post in the past, so you can guess, or do your homework.
Any takers? What kind of fish - where from (general even).
My son tells me he's done fishing this season. I'm thinnin' we've got a warm patch waiting beyond this first snow. Maybe some fall bass or trout action - anyone been to Mantua lately? Me thinks it's next. The cold should have dropped the weeds at least. Driving past this morning - the lake looked empty. Maybe a touch of frost along the edges. Dunno for sure.
Fall Crappie and Walleye? Isn't that supposed to happen? And what to the Kitties do as it chills out?
