I can give you a measurement to less than an inch.
Your right hand index finger is exposed and extended in the picture. And as others have mentioned, it is the same distance from the rest of your body as the fish.
Measure your right index finger from the second knuckle to the end of the finger.
Measure the same finger in the picture. This will give you a ratio of the size. then measure the fish in the picture and multiply accordingly.
There are acouple release records that have come to question and have been solved using this method. It is accurate and is accepted by IFGA and Utah State record books.
