Flies will work both on the soft and hardwater ... But You will catch a fare share on standard Kastmasters 1/8 down to a 1/16th in all colors tipped with whatever !!!!! All about bein where the active fish are... Crappies love spoons they mimic a dying minnow really well..My 5cents[
