I think the 90% statistic was mis-interpreted. I don't think that it was ever reported that 90% die of old age, but 90% die of natural causes (not due to angler harvest). Fish mortality because of old age is a statistic I'm not sure you can accurately measure. But I think the point behind the 90% statistic is that only a small percentage of the fish that die in Henry's are due to harvest. Thus, it can be reasonably assumed that increasing the season by one month won't have a significant impact on the numbers of fish in the lake.
