Finally on the Ice
#1
The day was still dark when we headed for Scofield. It was -1 when we arrived. The ice seemed plenty thick so we made the trek to the island. The ice was 4 to 5 inches so we set up camp. Plenty of action, but most of the takers were 12 to 14 inch rainbows and cutthroats. the big fish of the day was a 17 inch Tiger and a 17 inch cutt. Beautiful day, no wind and the temp warmed to 29 when we left about 1:00. Now we just need to find the big ones next time. No pictures as I'm working with a new camera and I'm not fast enough to get the pictures and get the fish back in the water in a timely way. I'll work on it.
