I have a camera and honestly feel like I wasted the 100$ to buy it, its a novelty and is cumbersome as mentioned previously. I have used a humminbird fishin' buddy for about 10 years and its been great. With the Fish ID off I can see my bait in the water column and see the fish sitting there watching it. My Buddy has recently started having problems on the ice where it reads interference from the ice, even with the "surface" interference setting on. So I will probably look at buying a new sonar unit soon. I've never used a flasher, to be honest they have always looked confusing but the new Showdowns by Marcum look like they would be simple to use, I might go that way next. Either way- I wouldn't do a camera, waste of money and they are heavy, hard to see and limited in viewing coverage.
