I added a photo of the batch I made last night to the post above.
the above recipie is a basic batter recipie, add spices according to your desiered taist.
Those were fryed in penut oil in a deap fryer.
I guess I showed the red in my neck, [:p]
I will make perfectly clear the differances,
Corn starch is starch,
Corn meal is ground corn
CornFlower is a mixture of Corn meal and Flower. more commonly known as Corn Meal Mix. Martha White and Aunt Jamima makes the best in my opinion. Corn Flower is a term used by folks in tennessee kentucky and some parts of michigan. It is easier to say corn flower than corn meal mix.
When making corn bread, you use corn meal and flower or you use corn flower / corn meal mix.
so to clear up all mis conceptions, corn flower is not a spice or a ground flower from a corn stock. [angelic]
