[cool][#0000ff]First of all, the lateral direction of the skimmer shaped transducer makes no difference. But it is important to keep it level to insure that the beam shoots as straight down as possible. Otherwise it hits the bottom at an angle and your readings will be distorted.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Secondly, the Cuda 300 is not a very good unit. I and several other tubers returned our trial units fairly soon after trying them on a couple of trips. Lots of false readings...or no readings at all.[/#0000ff]
