Recommendation...take the sled if you don't use it so be it...if you do take it just drive under 20MPH and you'll be fine...when you stop just kick snow up onto the tracks or take a shovel and scoop the crusty snow toss onto the track.
The problem is sled tracks are cooled by having snow on them (we're going to have scratchers installed for next season)...when there's no snow and one drives at top speed like a bat-outta-hell [crazy] for a 'long time' is when potential issues can happen with overheating the track components. We're old so we drive slow anyways and enjoy the scenery...[
