I was using my new Skeet Reese rod I won from last years Bass Fishing Rival contest here at Bigfishtackle.com and the Senko's I won.
Weightless with a clear bead before the hook. I cast and let it sink straight down with lots of slack in my line til it hit bottom, then just super tiny nudges and wait...
I use a homemade attractant I spray on that consisted of 2 whole garlet cloves mashed and put in about 6 oz of water and brought to a boil, then I add 1 TEA spoon of garlic salt.
I spray my lures just once then use them til they are tore up or I lose them with a fish.
I also spray my hands when I get to my fishing spot with this attractant to remove any odors that might keep the bass from holding on to the lure longer.
I'll have to play with my new camera to get it make longer videos before it runs out of space or by a larger mem card.
The bass turned off at this pond around 10am and I moved to another favorite about 100 yards east of it and lost a very nice bass that would probably be my best posted here.
It was probably 6lb easy. There was another fisherman in that pond in a john boat that landed a 5lb and was going crazy over it. ( I told him what I was fishing with and even gave him a couple of the Soft Plastics that fsh4fun05 included in my winnings for last years contest.
He said he will use them now for sure. He had never wacky rigged any softs or ever used the Senko's...
So good for him, he learned some new techniques this morning.
Keep on fishing guys!
