[#0000ff]Threadfin shad die out when the temps drop below about 50 degrees. The shad in coldwater lakes are usually gizzard shad...like they have in Willard. They are hardier but they get bigger too. They also compete heavily with trout and other species that feed on zooplankton. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]If you even dare suggest putting gizzard shad in a trout pond like Deer Creek you will have DWR stringing you up by your "bassrods".[/#0000ff]
