[quote bassrods].. And one of the best foods for them from in the past and other lakes is SHAD...
Tanks buckets lakes streams...[sly][sly][sly][sly][sly][sly] LOL LOL LOL.[/quote]
Our G/F annually stocks tons and tons of shad into one of our lakes, Glendo. Anyone who has fished this reservoir knows that it is a trophy walleye lake, with eyes in the 10-13lb range caught yearly. (they are pretty rare, but more common than most places).
Years and years ago it was just a trout lake. With perch eventually, then everything else came a long. But it would not be a world class fishery for walleyes if our G/F did not stock both shad and walleye in high #'s every year.
Utah should have more $ to spend on things like stocking shad than Wyoming. Speak up and demand or beg the Utah DWR to start doing shad dumpings[
] I wonder how much shad they could dump if they spent just half the amount of money they spend on overstocking lakes with trout.
