White bass at Deer Creek
#65
Cliff, I agree with Fishrmn about needing an aquarium or two...dam good way to tell ALOT of different stuff about fish behavior! Mine would "tell" me when good periods of fishing were going on...YES...A FORCASTER FOR FISHING!![fishin] Ripley's ...Believe it...or not! [angelic]
I knew a guy who had a half dozen largemouth bass in an aquarium many years ago. Probably close to 30 years ago now. Ain't sayin' who, how, or where he got 'em. Why he got them is easy. They were the forbidden fruit, which this guy thrives on. Tell him that he can't have it, and he'll move heaven and earth to prove that he can. Smart little buggers. They could tell when he got home from work. He would try to sneak in the house, but they were waiting for him on the end of the aquarium nearest the door. They were more than 20 feet from the garage entrance at this guy's house. If he had been home for a while, they were just swimming in the tank. But when he got home in the morning (we were working the midnight shift) they would greet him like a puppy dog waiting for a snack. Conditioned response? Yep. We figured that they must have been able to sense when the garage door opened in the morning and that meant that the guy with the worms was coming down the hall.
