Looks like a lot of folks got on bass today. There appears to have been some real hogs caught. Took a new friend of mine fishing on the Chick today, he is from Ten Mile. He has been out of fishing for a while and wants to get back in it. I told him he did not want to go with me unless he was sure he wanted to get back in it cause hanging around me he would sure get addicted. He wanted to go and he is now addicted. Wink Had a pretty good day today. We did not get on the water until 2;00 and we left at about 6:00. We boated 14 bass with nine good keepers. Best one was just shy of five pounds and it destroyed a SPOOK!!! emoDance I also boated two more on the spook today. emoThumbsup The main bait that did the best for us today was a 3/4 oz blade. A couple just crushed it. I lost another one that felt like a good one and Jeff had one break him off, then a few seconds later it jumped trying to throw the bait right by the boat and almost landed in the boat. emoTongue I thought if that fish had no one would have believed it. Looked to be about three pounds and I could have easily have netted it if I had been ready.

We really never found a pattern, we caught them at several depths, from as shallow as a couple feet to suspended over 40 feet. emoScratch Seems to me to be in all different stages of the spawn. Some shallow looking for a place to set up house and others staging off in the deeper drops waiting for the weather to warm up a little more.

I hope you guys fishing the ABA tomorrow have a great one. Please let us know how it goes and post us a report. emoAngler Jmax
