My thing is I am lazy[cool] I do not want to play games with the fish, it probably took me along time to catch it anyway! So heavier line for me all the way. Fish on, fish off and so on.
I do notice when I use my lighter set-up in the bay, 10lb geen Trilene I get mo fish.
But on charters it's 30lb all the way. No spooling me sucker [laugh]
