just plain ole kernel corn, del monte i believe it was lol. but the generic works just as well. we were stringing about 4-6 kernels on size 4 eagle claw snelled hooks, then tossin them out either carolina rigged or "dropshot" style they didn't seem to mind either way, my son was having trouble hooking up so i put him a size 4 circle hook on and he never missed another fish. tight lines[fishin]
